Strength training for cancer survivors
PLEASE NOTE: Survival to Strength (S2S) is a collaboration of oncology qualified personal trainers and therapists who provide strength, balance, mobility and fitness training for people who have had a cancer diagnosis. Previously (2014-2026) we were a 501(c)3 nonprofit that offered free training sessions.
We continue our mission to help people who have cancer, or who have had cancer be as healthy as possible through strength training and other physical activity.
Our Goals:
- To offer 1:1 and small group training sessions with evidence-based individual oncology considerations for participants.
- To act as a colleague, mentor and resource for trainers, therapists, and oncology communities who want to share evidence-based practice and to develop oncology experience.
Strong Feels Good
Every cancer survivor needs a survivor plan.
A person who has had cancer may have great difficulty overcoming barriers to fitness and strength training. Strength training reduces morbidity (sickness) and mortality (death). People who have had cancer need 1:1 guidance in strength training.
